Blogging The Love

I’ve had a really great morning today visiting the post, “First Friday”, and reading posts from new bloggers like myself. I also took a dip into the “Community Pool”, and the waters were quite refreshing!

Typically, we pick up a book or visit a site which we are fairly certain will interest us. We pick a genre we enjoy, and perhaps even a favorite author – always careful to stay inside our literary comfort zone.

When I was a kid I re-read the same  books over and over again. And it wasn’t because I didn’t there were any other good books out there, but the first chapters were always kind of boring and hard to get through. And as I’ve grown I’m still a little wary of that which is not tried and true.

But today I took a step out of my comfort zone and have been reading, riveted, for hours. I think I’m learning to try and appreciate new things, broaden my horizons.

I don’t read news often, but Sherina Harris made me laugh with her post, “https://sherinaspeaks.wordpress.com/2017/03/20/other-things-that-could-crash-live-tv-interviews/”. Who knew that banning pineapple on pizza was a hot button anywhere?

After this morning I’m sure I’ll be reading more from Jaclyn Herstrom, author of, “https://anotherhomeschoolmomblog.wordpress.com/2017/03/29/red-light-green-light/”. For those of us who teach early education, ideas like this are a godsend!

8duffels2mutts hit home with me in, “https://8duffels2mutts.wordpress.com/2016/11/04/hate-to-burst-your-bubble-the-truth-about-expat-life/” as they shared some of my thoughts about expat living better than I could.

And finally, Brainy Versatility inspired this article with his own, “https://brainyversatilityblog.wordpress.com/2017/04/07/wordpress-bloggers-helping-each-other-out-sharing-knowledge-and-being-appreciative/”. His words of encouragement to fellow bloggers made me want to read more, like more, comment more, follow more and second the call to others to do the same.

Thank you all for sharing your lives with me. I’m happy to be joining this writing community and hope I can contribute something worthwhile.

  1. Hi,
I had a dog named in Minnie for 15 years.
I met you at Danny’s party. That was nice of you to reblog it. Maybe you can check out my blog if you need any Blogging Tips. That’s what I write about. I also have 10 blogging events a month including two parties like Danny.
